Setting up the display tent for the first time
Whew! Took me a few hours but I finally got the display tent set up for the first time. Next step: set it up with some of my paintings and then start looking for shows.
My current body of work is based off my own photography, collected and manipulated images, as well as figurative work. My subject matter varies and includes Florida landscapes, marine life and the human form. The photographers Edward Weston and Emogene Cunningham, painters Mark Rothko, Philip Pearlstein, Lucien Freud, Claude Monet and current working artists Jeremy Lipking and Jacob Collins have all influenced my work. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of South Florida, Tampa. Three of my recent works were featured on the USA Network TV show "Burn Notice" (Season 1, episode 8 "Wanted Man") - link to watch: http://mytvsource.blogspot.com/2008/08/burn-notice-episode-8-man.html
